Freezing Rain May Prove Problematic During Morning Commute Patch Levittown, PA --

Lower Bucks County could awake to freezing rain on Monday, forecasters warned.

The National Weather Service's Mount Holly forecast centered issued a freezing rain advisory from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday.

The advisory calls for rain and freezing rain, rain which freezes on contact with the below-freezing ground surface, in the early morning hours and forecasts all rain by 8 a.m. Little ice accumulation is expected.

Untreated roadways, bridges and overpasses could become extremely slippery during the morning commute. The weather service asks motorists to give themselves extra time.

After the freezing rain threat has lifted, the National Weather Service is calling for rain throughout the morning and into the afternoon. A high temperature of 51 degrees is expected. Reported by Patch 1 hour ago.
