Patch Holly Springs-Hickory Flat, GA --The Holly Springs City Council will examine the design for the city's newest park and decide whether or not to adopt the plan during their Monday evening meeting.
Cherokee County Capital Program Manager Bill Echols will be presenting the design for Hickory Road Park before the council during the 6:30 p.m. work session, which will be held at the Holly Springs Municipal Court chambers.
Council will also discuss zoning ordinance changes and talk about a proposal brought forth by City Manager Rob Logan to open four Certificates of Deposit (CD) for the city with BB&T.
During the meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m., the city council will vote on the park design and the CDs, and will also vote on awarding the contract for asbestos abatement at 93 Palm St. to Southern Environmental Services, Inc. The company has the lowest bid, at $1,900, to complete the work.
The council will also vote on the appointment of Donna Stewart to the Cherokee County Library Board of Trustees.
