This is Somerset -- The front of house manager at The Pony and Trap pub in Chew Magna, Bristol, has been named as a finalist in the Front of House Manager Award of the Budweiser Budvar Top 50 Gastro Pubs 2014. Holly Eggleton has worked at the gastropub in Newtown for the past seven years. The award, organised by leading pub industry magazine, The Publican's Morning Advertiser, is aimed at recognising top gastropub managers who make a vital contribution to the success of the pub's business and help deliver excellent service at the pub. Ms Eggleton is one of three finalists shortlisted for the award, with entrants putting themselves forward. A panel of judges comprising leading industry food writers and pub guide editors have visited the finalist's pubs to interview them about their contribution to the business and to test the pub's offer. The Publican's Morning Advertiser managing editor Jo Bruce, said: "Holly has worked in the hospitality industry for ten years and her experience shines through. "She plays an important part in the pub's success and is a vital link to both staff and customers. "Holly started at the pub when she was just 19 and is passionate about offering her customers the best in food and drink as well as excellent service." The overall winner of the award will be announced at an awards lunch on January 27. The award is sponsored by whisky brand Highland Park.
